It’s a tower defense game in VR, in space! James Semple composed an amazing original soundtrack for it.

It started as a game jam project for Google Cardboard in Unity and ended up as an Oculus Go project in Unreal Engine 4.26.

It looks like the Oculus Go Store is completely gone now, so my Buy Now button doesn’t work. Perhaps it’s time to bring it to Steam or elsewhere?

Initial Apple Vision Pro Thoughts

It looks interesting! I’d love to prototype some things for it.

In their demo video, they showed people watching a movie at home. I’ve watched a few things on Netflix with my Oculus Go, but that’s it. I don’t think this will be a common use case. When I think about movies or TV, it’s almost always watching with other people, so everyone would need a device. I also realize that with pass-through, they have improved the isolating aspects of wearing an XR device, but you’re still wearing something and seeing things that other people in the environment aren’t seeing.

Oculus Connect 5 (2018) Lessons and Takeaways

The conference was in September 2018.

The Oculus Start members who attended OC5

Oculus Connect 5 was the fifth conference hosted by Oculus, this time in San Hose, California. It was a two-day event with announcements, demos, and talks. Because I am a part of Oculus Start (a developer program they run), I was able to attend the event. Thanks to Oculus and the Oculus Start team!
